The Chief Operating Officer will provide overall leadership to SLPG operations ensuring that providers and practice sites have the focused facilities, operating support and systems, information technology, and resources to achieve efficient and effective care delivery. This key leadership role will insure that practice facility size and staffing are appropriate to the scope of patient services provided and maintained in a manner that will achieve SLHS goals and mission. The COO will be expected to achieve high performing physician practice operations founded upon a unified, integrated philosophy of patient care. As a key member of the SLPG senior leadership team, the COO will oversee the integration of new physician practices into the organizational structure to meet SLHS growth objectives and will facilitate the effective adoption of information technologies to ensure safe and effective patient care processes. S/he will effectively manage the overall cost structure of SLPG through the development of effective support management functions and will create efficiencies in systems and process through utilization of performance improvements and portfolio management methodologies.
