Position supervises the Behavioral access center (BAC) qualified mental health professionals who provide behavioral health assessments of referrals received from agencies, hospitals and emergency rooms. Position supervises non-nursing clinical professional staff to include Social Workers, Psychotherapists, Expressive Therapists (art/music/recreation), Discharge planner, and Utilization Review. The position works collaboratively with the team and provides consultation related to clinical issues. The position is responsible for providing ongoing supervision, interviewing and hiring new team members, scheduling, budgeting, and conducting annual evaluations.
Position supervises the Psychiatric Emergency Assessment Team who provides mental health, suicide and substance abuse assessments of emergency department patients and assessment of referrals from agencies and hospitals for mental health admissions. The position works collaboratively with the team and provides 24 7 consultation for team members related to clinical issues. The position interviews selects new team members, provide ongoing supervision, scheduling and annual evaluations. The position also provides emergency coverage when needed. The position provides supervision of utilization review services for all mental health services. This includes pre-certification, concurrent review and management of managed care denials.
